Open to senior roles & contract work

Hi, I’m Levon —
I build web products people enjoy using.

Full-stack engineer · Yerevan, Armenia · Est. 2015

I join teams to ship scalable, user-focused web products across fintech, SaaS, e-commerce, and enterprise platforms. Front-end is where I’m sharpest — today I own features end-to-end, lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and set technical direction. I work remotely with teams across Europe and the US.

Onyx Fiber

The operating system for a multi-team fiber sales business. Onyx’s leadership uses it to run the company in real time — CEOs and executives see the trajectory and state of operations at a glance; managers monitor pipeline health and team performance; team leads hold reps accountable. Custom TSS/TSI scoring engine, multi-provider ISP report ingestion (Onyx, Allo, AT&T), intake-to-install pipeline, two-way GoHighLevel sync across three CRM accounts, Sequifi payroll & roster integration, leaderboards, and a 12-template reporting suite — all in one place.

What clients have said.

A few words from people I’ve been fortunate to work with.

How I prefer to work.

A few principles I try to hold across every project.

01 — Listen first

Understand before building

Most ideas arrive in the wrong shape. Before any code, I want to understand the goal, the constraints, and the people who'll actually use this thing.

02 — Prototype early

Code, not slides

Working code beats decks. The fastest way to know whether something works is to build a rough version, hold it in your hands, then refine.

03 — Ship with care

Pixel-perfect, tested, accessible

Production code that ages well — typed, reviewed, and written so the next person on the team isn't unhappy when they pick it up.

04 — Stay close

A long-term partner, not a contractor

Most products actually begin at launch, not before. I'd rather be an ongoing partner than a one-off hire — staying close as the thing grows.

05 — Lift the team

Lead by example, mentor in the open

Senior work isn't just code — it's the code reviews, the ADRs, the patient pairing with a junior dev, the technical direction that keeps a team moving in one direction.

Tools I reach for.

Modern, well-supported tech — chosen for speed, type-safety, and longevity.

What I’m working on now.

Short notes on what I’m learning, shipping, and thinking about — updated occasionally.

  • May 2026

    Currently learning

Going deeper on Postgres internals — query planning, partial indexes, and partitioning at scale. Came up while tuning Onyx Fiber's reporting layer.

  • Apr 2026

    Recently shipped

A multi-provider ISP report ingestion pipeline. Eight providers, each with their own report quirks, normalised into a single typed schema. The pattern generalises beautifully — adding a new provider is now ~150 lines.

  • Mar 2026

    Thinking about

How much of an internal tool's UX should be "obvious" vs. "powerful". Power users want density and keyboard shortcuts; new hires want guardrails. The answer is usually both, layered.

Practical details.

The questions recruiters and founders ask before they reach out.

What are you looking for right now?

Senior or staff engineering roles (full-time, remote-first), embedded contracts of 3–12 months, and selective technical advisory. Open to both startup and enterprise teams.

Where are you based and what timezone do you work?

Yerevan, Armenia (UTC+4). I overlap a full day with European teams and roughly 5–7 hours with the US East Coast. I've worked with UK and US teams for years.

Full-time or contract — do you have a preference?

Either, if the work and team are right. For full-time I'm looking for a senior engineering role with technical leadership scope. For contracts I prefer embedded engagements over short fixed-scope projects.

What's your notice period?

Two weeks on contract engagements. Four weeks for full-time, but flexible depending on the situation.

Do you work solo or with a team?

I'm sharpest inside a team — code reviews, design crits, pairing. I can run solo when needed and have done so on the freelance side, but a high-functioning team is where I do my best work.

What's your rate / salary expectation?

Happy to share a number once I understand the role and scope. Email me and I'll respond within a day.

An invitation

Have a project in mind?

I’m currently taking on contract work for teams who want to ship quickly and carefully. Drop me a line — I’ll reply within a day.
